Jay Z Nominated for Songwriters Hall of Fame

Hov could be headed to the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Jay Z is among the nominees to be elected for induction at the 2017 awards gala, which also includes Babyface, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Max Martin, Gloria Estefan, Kool & the Gang, Madonna, George Michael, Vince Gill, Cat Stevens, and Sly Stone.

Roc Nation offered its congrats to Mr. Carter via social media, celebrating his nomination.
Jay Z launched his career with his landmark debut album, 1996’s Reasonable Doubt, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Since then, he’s earned 21 Grammys, 8 MTV VMAs, 7 BET Awards, and 3 AMAs.
Others on the list of nominees this year are Randy Goodrum, Jeff Lynne, Tony Macaulay, Kenny Nolan, Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham, Paul Overstreet, P.F. Sloan & Steve Barri, Mickey Stevenson, Allee Willis, Maury Yeston, Bryan Adams, Peter Cetera, Robert Lamm, & James Pankow, and David Gates.
The Annual Induction & Awards Gala is scheduled for June 15, 2017 in New York City, while voting takes place next month.
