Eric Close is one very busy man these days. Not only does he co-star on Nashville as Teddy Conrad, but on Saturday, he and his wife, Keri, are hosting a big fundraiser at their L.A.-area home for The Africa Foundation.
But before I get to any of that, I have to tell you what Close just revealed about Bradley Cooper. Close appears opposite the Oscar-nominated actor in American Sniper, the upcoming Clint Eastwood-directed real-life drama about the late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle (Cooper), who had more than 150 confirmed kills over his decade-long career as a sniper.
"He put on like 40 pounds," said Close, who plays a Defense Intelligence Agency agent in the film. "He's really been working hard. He looks great. He's really taken on this character…He really takes this story personally and wants to do an honorable job for Chris' memory and for his family."
And speaking of doing great work, the benefit at the Closes' home is actually the second time they've helped The Africa Foundation.
This is so not in fashion.
Dolce & Gabbana designers Domenico Dolce, 55, and Stefano Gabbana, 51, were each sentenced to 18 months in jail by an Italian appeals court today after being convicted on charges of hiding hundreds of millions of euros from Italian tax authorities. The court upheld a guilty ruling that was made back in June 2013. The sentence was reduced from 20 months to 18 because of the statute of limitations in Italian law.
Dolce and Gabbana's accountant Luciano Patellito was also sentenced to one year and six months in jail.
Dolce and Gabbana were charged after they sold their brand to the Luxembourg-based company Gado in 2004 to avoid having to pay dues in Italy, which has been hard up for cash thanks to the ongoing economic crisis in the Euro zone.
"I am speechless. We are all shocked," Massimo Dinoia, a lawyer for Dolce and Gabbana, reportedly said afer the initial ruling. "The judgment is inexplicable and we will appeal."
Celeb fans of the D&G designers include Scarlett Johansson, Katy Perry, Jennifer Hudson and Victoria Beckham, to name a few.
Eva Marcille filed a restraining order against her baby’s father Kevin McCall earlier this month and it appears that things have not gotten better between the two. According to reports, Eva has been given full custody of their daughter Marley and Kevin denied visitation rights.
“It is unfortunate that life has thrown a curve Into Eva’s life but as a responsible parent and adult she’s taking steps to ensure the safety and well-being of their child and herself,” a rep for Eva said.
Kevin is not allowed to come within 100 yards of Eva and Marley after he allegedly kicked down several doors in their home threatened to punch her and tried to snatch the baby out of Eva’s hands.
Days after the assault, Eva and McCall were photo’d together and posted the picture on Instagram with the hashtag #familyfirst.
Kevin isn’t the only celeb male to be caught up in domestic violence accusations. We announce earlier today that The Dream is being questioned for allegedly attacking his baby’s mother while she was pregnant. Columbus Short violated probation by ransacking his family home against court orders. Not to mention, the other countless acts of domestic violence that we’ve reported this week.
Sigh. What is happening to the male race?
Iman was honored at the Variety Power Of Women: New York event in the same $2,995 Michael Kors Leather Belted Pleated Dress Heidi Klum sported back in January of this year.
Both ladies kept the styling simple — opting for loose waves, minimal makeup and jewelry, and chocolate leather sandals.
The nutmeg-hued dress features accordion-pleats, a front-slit, A-line silhouette, and is cinched at the waist by a large python belt. What do you think? Who wore it better?

Tiwa Savage & Tee Billz are coming back home.
After a short honeymoon, following their white wedding on Saturday 26th April 2014 at the Armani Hotel, Dubai, it’s back to business for T-square.
The couple are seen in their first class lounge in the airplane, relaxing and helping themselves to some delicious bites, as they head to Lagos.
Miley Cyrus isn't out of the woods just yet.
E! News has exclusively learned that the "We Can't Stop" singer has "had a health setback and her allergic reaction issues have returned."
Doctors initially gave a prognosis that Cyrus would require anywhere from 5 to 27 days of recovery, and it seems that she's needing more time to get well.
But the timing couldn't be worse for the former Disney darling who is about to embark on the European leg of her sold-out Bangerz tour.
The outspoken songstress found a cheeky way to respond to the backlash however.
First, she posted a doctored photo of her looking extra conservative with the words "Rih's next magazine cover if it was up to Instagram." Snap!
Then, she asked fans to send in their best drawings of the Lui photo shoot—because art can't be taken down, right?! Right.
So far she's posted several sketches from her navy and has tagged them all as "phan art" using the hashtag "iheartrihanna."
And RiRi found yet another loophole in the nude pic controversy, she posted the shoot in its entirety on her Twitter page.
Take that, Instagram!
Usher is serving straight “My Way” swag in the teaser visuals to his new track “Good Kisser” and we’re sooo here for it. After going pop for more of his recent tracks, the “Confessions” singer is returning to his roots on his eight album, due in stores this fall.
The forthcoming disc features collaborations with Rico Love and Jermaine Dupri (who were the masterminds behind his classic album “Confessions”) Mike WiLL Made It, and Pharrell.
Pharrell recently raved about the album at Coachella when Usher joined him on stage. “Please get ready for this man’s next album. It’s so amazing!” he said.
At the end of the 40-sec “Good Kisser” clip, Usher brings back his famous “U” chain that he frequently wore during the height of his career (“My Way,” “8701″ and “Confessions). From the looks of it, Usher is pulling a few pages from his early projects. If so, fans have a lot to look forward to!
Usher is currently a judge on “The Voice” and slimmed down to embody the character of Sugar Ray Leonard in a biopic set to be released this year.
A Kidnapped Nigerian School Girl Escapes And Speaks: Terrorist Group Said ‘Nothing Will Happen To You’.
While the young women have not yet been found, one managed to escape with two friends and is talking about the horrific experience.
Eighteen-year-old Deborah Sanya said in The New Yorker that militants of the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram arrived at her boarding school on the night of her final exam before graduation. When they arrived, Sanya said the men told all of the girls, “Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to you,” but it turns out they were plotting their next move. She says the men took food, stole school supplies and set the school on fire before eventually gathering the girls onto trucks and motorcycles. Sanya admits that the girls were nervous, but still thought they were in safe hands. It was only when the men started shooting guns and shouting “Allahu Akbar” (“God is great” in Islam) that she realized the men had lied.
Supermodels, actresses, and a slew of stylish stars stormed Webster Hall for the Sprint Sound Sessions. Pharrell took the stage, while fashionable celebs posed for the paparazzi in crop tops, leather jackets, fur, bright hues, and so much more.
Let’s get into the night’s ensembles! Chanel Iman looked every bit the model in a Fausto Puglisi Fall 2014 studded leather jacket, yellow bustier crop top, and Statue of Liberty print wrap skirt. Hot!
Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner opted to coordinate their ensembles for a Costco run on Tuesday, stepping out in identical outfits as they hit the shopping center with Kris and Bruce Jenner.
The two siblings both wore matching red flannel shirts, acid wash jeans and edgy black boots, holding hands as they strolled side by side.
Both Khloé and Kylie appeared relaxed and comfortable as they shopped around the store with their family, proving there's nothing that can break their sisterly bond as they enjoyed a bit of quality time together.
Kourtney Kardashian mixed textures while grabbing lunch in Calabasas, donning a $195 Tangerine NYC Silk Periwinkle Top and $199 H&M Suede Zipper Pants. She accented her look with classic $712 Gianvito Rossi Bari Nude Pointed Toe Pumps. Her roomy top showcases pintuck detailing and billowing sleeves. Her slim-fit suede pants are a part of the brand’s PREMIUM QUALITY collection. They feature visible zips at the front and seamed detailing at the knees. I loved this!
If you’re up for the splurge, get Kourtney’s top here and pants here.

J. Lo appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live a few nights ago in the white version of the sheer Balmain dress Porsha Williams wore to Club Reign. While Porscha opted for peep toe Louboutins, Jenny went for a point toed pump.
The dress, seen below in black, has horizontal stripes and sheer sleeves. I think both ladies rocked it right, though I have a slight preference for J. Lo’s simple take.
What about you? Check them out below:
These adorable baby girls, Victoria and Ysabel, (born in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday, Feb. 9.) belong to Michael Jordan and his new wife Yvette Prieto. The couple tied the knot April 27 in Palm Beach after dating for 6 years. Victoria and Ysabel are Michael and Yvette’s first children together. Jordan shared the photo of the girls on “Good Morning America” earlier this week. They’re so precious. This makes five children for MJ!
Columbus Short was ordered to stay away from his family home after allegedly threatening to kill himself and his wife Tanee McCall-Short, but disobeyed court orders and visited the home on Easter Sunday when he ransacked the lavish pad, his wife now claims. According to Tanee, Columbus broke a door off its hinges, ripped off her bed sheets and left on a bunch of lights. Short, who has a string of violent charges against his record, was recently fired from “Scandal” over his bad behavior. You think he’d get some help, but things only seem to be getting worse.
Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde who was named one of Time Magazine‘s most influential people in the world in 2013, was present at the TIME 100 Gala night yesterday Tuesday 29th April 2014 at Jazz, Lincoln Center, New York City, NY.
Omosexy sizzled in a beautiful red dress with a white-and-black detailing and dramatic sleeves, by Iconic Invanity. She accessorized with drop earrings, and black bracelets.
A chic ponytail, smokey eyes and neutral lipstick completed her look. She was styled by Ezinne Chinkata.
Also spotted at the event were Nigeria’s Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Nigerian business mogul Aliko Dangote. Both were listed as one of the most influential people in the world for 2014.

Zoe Saldana’s 2014 AOL NewFronts Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2014 Blue and White Printed Top, Layered Skirt, and Christian Louboutin Pumps.
It was all about prints for Zoe Saldana at the 2014 AOL NewFronts in NYC. The actress looked ready for Spring, though she was sporting a Blue and White Printed Top and Layered Skirt from Roksanda Ilincic’s Fall 2014 collection. She gave her look a pop of color with red lips and Christian Louboutin Pumps. Only the skirt portion of her look was shown on the runway. Pretty! I actually love this length on Zoe, though it wouldn’t necessarily work for everyone. Check it out below:
Kim Kardashian traipsed through LAX Airport (to Paris for her wedding perhaps?) in the same $508 Faith Connexion Draped Pants she originally sported three weeks ago.
In the airport, Kim stuck to the classic color palette of black and white with a draped blouse, nude pumps, and a $1,675 YSL Gold Tassel Clutch. The first time around, Kim paired the trousers with a shawl lapel blazer, sheer blouse, a $3,480 Bottega Veneta Woven Chain Knot Minaudiere, and her favorite Tom Ford sandals.
The soft charmeuse pants feature front draping and angled cuffs.
I loved both looks — I’m all about a comfortable, yet stylish draped pair of pants.
What do you think? When did she wear ‘em better? Check them out below:
Yesterday, I posted Snapshots of Rihanna’s latest photo shoot: a series of images lensed by Mario Sorrenti for men’s magazine Lui.
Although the pictures were artful and beautiful, my knee jerk reaction was to trash the post…because I didn’t see much in terms of fashion. My favorite Bajan was basically nude.On top of the nudity, I felt some images were borderline vulgar. For example, a picture of a bottomless Rihanna in a modified downward dog pose, looking entreatingly at the camera with her bikini tanned buttocks stuck high in the air.
I have personally been approached to enter into business ventures with others on several occasion.
I had trepidation surrounding the decision to go into business with loved ones and so how should you determine if it’s the right time and right person to enter into a business venture?
Here are four issues to consider before making that commitment:
Social science experts agree — much of what we “say” is never actually spoken. “Facial expressions and other body language account for more than half of our communication,” says Adam J. Scheiner, M.D., an international Oculoplastic surgeon who’s been featured on “The Dr. Oz Show” and “The Doctors.”
“When we look at someone, especially when we’re meeting for the first time, we quickly scan the eye and mouth areas of the other person’s face to make some quick judgments: Are they friendly or a potential threat? Are they trustworthy? We form first impressions within 7 seconds of meeting.”
You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so make sure your face is good because those first impressions can become misleading due to the normal aging process and damage caused by stress, diet and environmental factors, particularly sun exposure.
“I call them the three D’s of aging: Our skin begins to deteriorate; our faces deflate, making them narrower and wrinkled; and our eyelids and face descend, causing drooping and sagging,” Scheiner says. “All of these can affect what our face communicates to those around us.”
It’s bad enough to communicate something you don’t really feel, he says. It’s worse when people react to that communication so often, such as saying, “You look so tired,” that you actually begin to believe you are tired, he says.
He shares the three common “miscommunications” your face makes:
Kim Kardashian has set a new high for airport style.
The star was catching a flight out of Los Angeles this afternoon and she almost looked too good to be getting on an airplane, even if she was headed for first class.
For her trip, Kim was wearing slim-fitting shiny black trousers that draped just so around her thighs but tapered off at a bias around the ankles. Her low-cut white blouse provided a flash of casual cleavage and she accessorized elegantly with nude pumps, a delicate chain necklace and a metallic purse.
The monochromatic look, with just a hint of gold, couldn't help but provide a smashing background for her huge engagement ring. A member of her entourage was pulling her Louis Vuitton roller bag as she made her way into LAX.
Not that Kim's streamlined look came as a surprise: She's been looking particularly sleek lately, just yesterday being spotted in a black blazer and a plunging black T-shirt, the two combing for effortless business chic.
It's starting to become impossible not to think about what Kim's going to want to wear on her big day...
Its been reported that she and Kanye West are planning on obtaining a marriage license and having a civil wedding ceremony in the United States before jetting off to France to tie the knot in a more lavish fashion.
Naya Rivera Written Out of Glee's Season Finale—but It Has "Nothing to Do With Lea Michele," Sources Say.
Though the original plan was to include Naya in the final episode of the season, slated for May 13, her character Santana Lopez has been written out of the script, we are told by multiple sources. (Fox is not commenting.)
Insiders point out that this change has nothing whatsoever to do with Lea Michele, nor the recent rumors of a falling out—and tension on set—between the two starlets.
"[Naya] isn't fired and her not being in the finale has nothing to do with Lea," says one source who works on Glee. "I don't know where these stories are coming from, but they are not true."

Grab the tissues, folks.
Beyoncé paid tribute to one of her biggest fans, a teen who lost her battle to cancer last week, by sending a bouquet of 90 white roses and handwritten note to the little girl's grieving family.
Chelsea Lee James, who was memorably brought on stage during Bey's concert back in 2009, passed away at the age of 15 on April 21 after a 10-year battle with the disease.
"Donna, love and prayers to you and your family. Chelsea was a beautiful girl and I am so happy I was able to meet her," the card read. "She touched my heart and I will never forget her."

When it comes to Rihanna and her nudity, Instagram is playing no games.
According to sources, the photo-sharing app threatened to shut down RiRi’s account after she posted topless snaps from her recent photo shoot with Lui magazine. The pics, which violated IG’s rules against nudity, where removed within an hour of posting.
“Our Instagram sources tell us Rihanna got an email that basically warned her … keep your clothes on or risk having your account permanently shut down,” TMZ reports.
But, in typical RiRi fashion, the threat didn’t phase her at all. The Bajan beauty simply headed to Twitter to share the banned shots of her exposed breasts.
What can we say? She follows her own rules, always did and always will.

Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have broken up.
E! News can confirm that the two, who began dating almost two years ago, are no longer dating.
A source tells People magazine that Harry found Bonas "too needy" and that "it just wasn't working out."
However, Showbiz Spy is reporting that their relationship came to a halt because of concerns on Bonas' end.
"Cressie is still young and had huge reservations about marrying into the royal family," a source told the site.
E! News also reported earlier that Cressida has been nervous about the attention she'll receive if she ever made it official with Prince William's younger brother.
The shocking split comes on the heels of months of speculation that the redheaded royal was inching closer to popping the question to the beautiful blonde.
Jaws dropped when Porsha Williams brawled with Kenya Moore on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, and now the reality star is opening up about what made her hit her breaking point.

Following the physical altercation, Porsha was charged with simple battery and posted a $2,000 bond, although she's still dealing with the legal fallout.

It’s been a solid 14 days since the devastating news of over 230 abducted Nigerian school girls rocked our worlds. These hundreds of girls from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok in Borno State are still missing and by the looks of it, the Boko Haram (an Islamic insurgent terrorist group opposed to western education with ties to the Al Quaeda) may be to blame. The group’s name literally translates to “western education is a sin.” This violent group launched a relentless campaign on Nigeria, targeting markets, mosques, schools and more. In fact, the school where the 234 girls were abducted was the last one open in the region.
In response to the abductions, women in Nigeria met and are planning to hold a million woman march in Abuja in hopes of securing the release of their girls. The meeting had in attendance wives of service chiefs in the state, nongovernmental organizations, women professional bodies, representatives of Federation of Muslims Women Associations (FOMWAN), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) among others.

We doubt it, but there’s a rumor buzzing claiming the duo will tie the knot this week without the expected fanfare. According to TMZ, Kimye have obtained a “confidential” marriage license (not so secret is it…) and will have a courthouse-like wedding.
We’re not sure if that means Jay and Bey will attend, but here’s hoping…

Is Your Brazilian Hair Really From Brazil? The Biggest Schemes & Scams In The Virgin Human Hair Industry.
Have you ever wondered if your weave hair really comes from India? Or Brazil? Or Mongolia? Or Peru? Well, sorry to break it to you, but most likely it does not. The human hair trade is a growing – and very lucrative – industry. With sales exceeding 12 billion dollars a year, customers should look out for scams and marketing ploys of every kind.
I am a known hair extension fanatic. I love my pure-virgin-remy-premium-raw-unprocessed human hair just like every other hairlista out there, but spending my hard-earned coins on bad quality hair one too many times has made me extremely skeptical of every YouTube guru, beauty supply store and wholesaler out there. As a result, I went on a quest to find out where this exotic hair really comes from. I sat down for an one-on-one interview with Los Angeles-based Indian hair importer and salesman Vince Selva to get the scoop on some of the biggest hair scams and how to look out for them.
